Job Description

  • Duties and responsibilities of the cashier will include greeting customers when entering or leaving our establishment, maintaining a clean and tidy checkout area and keeping reports of payments, cash and insurance transactions.
  • 1. Related to Cashier work:
  • Performing cashier related functions like posting charges to patient accounts and handle cash/card payments accurately, issue electronic invoices (VAT) as requested.
  • Understanding the workflow, products of the clinic and advising patients about it when necessary;
  • Understanding pricing regulations and following discount strategy;
  • Daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly yearly reporting (sales revenue, customer receivables reconciliation, bank transactions etc…) to Line Manager/BOD or anytime when requested;
  • Solving problems by proactively communicating with patients and colleagues
  • Thoroughly understanding and adhesion to payment and cash handling policies and procedures;
  • Using proper telephone etiquette when handling phone conversation with patients;
  • Using proper mail, phone and message handling procedures;
  • Reading, understanding and following all company’s announcements and Standard Operating Procedure (SOPs);
  • Attending department meetings and trainings when required;
  • Reporting any unusual occurrences or requests to the line manager;
  • Maintaining clean and tidy checkout areas;
  • Keeping reports of transactions;
  • Always pleasantly dealing with customers to ensure full satisfaction
  • 2. Related to Insurance claim handling:
  • Understanding the Insurance and direct billing services and know all entities we are contracted;
  • Knowing all products we have contract for, recognize the cards, know the package contents;
  • Able to inform the clients about the details of medical fee and procedures
  • Contacting insurance claim centers for confirmation for direct billing cases and handle strict follow-up;
  • Explaining patient’s insured benefits & handle patient’s complaints if any;
  • Ensure the confidentiality of customers’ personal information, medical conditions, and insurance records in accordance with the regulations of the clinic and insurance providers.
  • Saving &checking all claims documents before sending to Insurance company for reimbursement on a daily basis
  • Coordinating with other departments (reception, medical staff for medical documents and accountant for debt balance) for job supporting;
  • Following up cases & updating Insurance Manager or Front Desk or Accounting Dept on cases;
  • Updating insurance-related information from Insurance Manager;
  • Other tasks as assigned by line manager or BOD;

Job Requirements

 

  • Good  communication skills with the ability to understand customer psychology and handle issues effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Positive working attitude with a strong willingness to learn and self-improve.
  • Team-oriented and flexible able to adapt to different working situations.
  • Farmiliar with office equipment such as computers, printers, landline phones, and other supporting work-related software.
  • College or University degree preferred.
  • 1–2 years of working experience in healthcare, service industries, or as a receptionist in restaurants or hotels.
  • Good communication skills in both English and Vietnamese; additional languages such as Japanese or Korean is a plus.
