Should we let children drink juice?

A lot of parents think that giving their children juice will provide more essential vitamins. However, for those under 1 year old, shouldn’t let kid drink juice.

According to recommendations of the American Pediatric Association:

- Don’t use juice for children under 12 months because there is no nutrition

- After 1 year old, kids should limit the amount of juice every day and follow the dosage as follow:

  • Children from 1 to 3 years old: no more than 120ml per day.

  • Children from 4 to 6 years old: from 120ml to 180ml per day.

  • Children 7-18 years old: about 250 ml per day.

- Organic fruits provide more fiber and nutrients more than juice. Hence, EAT FRUIT INSTEAD OF DRINK JUICE.

- Shouldn’t drink juice before bedtime also to treat dehydration or diarrhea.
